THOMASVILLE – Karen Marie Rubish, age 78, died on August 29, 2022. She was born in Pittsburg, PA, on January 20, 1944, to George Ellwood Riggle and Victoria Marie Hutchison Riggle.

Karen graduated from David Anderson High School in Lisbon, Ohio. She attended First Presbyterian Church of Thomasville, NC, and enjoyed spending time with her Presbyterian Women friends and going on mission trips.

Karen is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Jenkins and husband Jason Jenkins; grandsons, Justin and Nathan Jenkins; sister, Carole Gayan and husband Lenny; niece, Daniele Robert and husband Dave; stepson, Michael Rubish and wife Susan; stepson, Matthew Rubish and wife Derly; grandchildren, Rachel and Luke Rubish; and grandson, Matthew Rubish.

Along with her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her loving husband, Andrew James Rubish.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at First Presbyterian Church, 21 Randolph St, Thomasville, NC 27360, on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at 7:00 pm.

In addition to flowers, memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Thomasville or Surry County Animal Shelter.
