James was a devoted member of Thomasville Church of God. He was known as a "people person" and never met a stranger. One of his favorite Saturday morning past times was going to yard sales; he loved getting a good deal. He was also passionate about woodworking and was the owner of Royal Colony Furniture.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Ruby "Colene" Beck; daughters, Theresa Stroud (Donald), Lori Beck (Joe); and three grandchildren, Hannah, Dylan and Riley. In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Monday, November 13, 2023, at Thomasville Church of God, 1200 W. Holly Hill Rd. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00pm at the church. Interment will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park.
