Hazel Agnes Bowles Boles

Mrs. Hazel Boles, 84, resident of Thomasville, died peacefully December 7, 2013 at Pine Ridge Health and Rehabilitation Center. The family wishes to thank all the wonderful caregivers at Pine Ridge for their dedication and compassionate care.

Mrs. Boles was born December 21, 1928, in Davidson County, NC, a daughter to the late John Bowles and Lula Sechrist Bowles. She retired from Adams-Millis Corporation in 1990. In 1947 she married Marshall Boles, Jr. who preceded her in death in September of this year.

Surviving are three children, Terry Boles and wife Carolyn of Thomasville, NC, Debra Carver and husband Barry of Erwin, TN, Sherri Rogers and husband Greg of Atlanta, GA; six grandchildren, Lisa Davis, Michelle Ratliff, Sandy Williams, Jake Rogers, Mariah Carver, and Jeremy Rogers; and three great-grandchildren, Adam Davis, Jordan Davis, Jack Ratliff…and one on the way, Noah Marshall Williams due to be born in January, 2014.

Mrs. Boles loved writing poetry and had a listening ear for anyone who needed support. She was known as “Mom” to many people she took under her wing as her ever-expanding “adopted family.” She will be remembered as a kind compassionate soul and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Hillside Park Baptist Church, 7593 E. Holly Grove Rd., Thomasville, where she was a member, with Dr. Steve Chips and Rev. Terry Boles officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Interment will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.

Jesus is waiting to welcome me home
