Debra worked at J.Y.C.S school for several years before moving to Denver, Colorado. In Denver, she worked as a bartender and waitress, before moving to North Carolina. She worked as a caregiver while in NC.
Debra is survived by her daughter, Patience Miersch, four sons, John Miersch, Adam Miersch, Christopher Miersch and Michael Miersch; thirteen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; two brothers and one sister. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by Hope Miersch, Eddie Strickland, Jesse Strickland, Gary Strickland, Jerry Strickland.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
