David Lee Reddick, age 82, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, December 10, 2023.
David was born in Randolph County, May 31, 1941, a son of the late William Ivey Reddick and Josephine Frazier Reddick. He was a proud Army veteran. David was a police officer and fireman with the city of Thomasville and a retired truck driver, driving for various companies. His talents led him to do various things in life, from being a mechanic, a carpenter, an electrician. David was a jack of all trades. He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather who never missed attending any and all events with his family. David was a member of Prospect Methodist Church, serving on several committees.
Surviving are two sons, Tim Reddick and Mark Reddick and his wife Lisa; four sisters, Polly Harris, Beulah Hill, Dorothy Russell and her husband Ronnie and Edith Reddick; two brothers, Donald Reddick and his wife Lois and William Reddick and his wife Ofelia; three grandchildren, Austin Reddick and his wife Kenzi, Blake Reddick and Jessica Reddick; and two great-grandchildren, Lane Reddick and Everly Reddick, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of David's life will be held Sunday, December 17, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Prospect Methodist Church by Pastor Steven McSwain and Pastor Jamie Stevenson. The family will receive friends at the church Sunday from 1 until 2 p.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Prospect Methodist Church.
