Kenneth V. Ritter

Kenneth V. Ritter of Cedarburg, WI passed away suddenly on Friday, September 26, at the age of 93. Ken was born in Carney, MI, on Dec. 14, 1920. He was a resident of Cedarburg for 60 years and is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 70 years, Grace (nee Bardwell). They were married on March 21, 1944, in Green Bay, WI during Ken’s service for the Army during WWII, first as a member of the Army Corp of Engineers and then as an Armorer Gunner with the 8th Army Air Forces 2nd Air Division Bombers. Ken and Grace moved to Milwaukee after the war, where he graduated from MSOE. He was a retiree of General Motor’s AC Electronics division in Oak Creek. He also worked for many years at ALTO SCHAAM, Inc. in Menominee Falls. One of Ken’s greatest accomplishments was working on the AC Delco Electronics space program in the 1960’s. His favorite pastime was traveling and taking long drives. In addition to his wife Grace, Ken is survived by his children; Kay Ritter of San Francisco, CA, Dawn (Peter Pliska) Ritter of San Ramon, CA, Keith Ritter of Plano, TX, Gary Ritter of Atlanta, GA, Kevin Ritter of Plano, TX and Sherri (Gelu) Stoica of Tracy, CA, grandchildren; Cody Ritter of Austin, TX, Erik Pliska of San Ramon, CA, Andrew Stoica of Tracy, CA, Callie Ritter of Plano, TX and Emily Stoica of Tracy, CA, many other relatives and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Ken at 11: 00 AM on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at St. Francis Borgia Church- North, 1375 Covered Bridge Road, Cedarburg, WI 53012. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the Church from 10:00 AM until time of the Mass. Following the Mass Ken will be buried with full military honors at the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Ken’s name to Family Sharing of Ozaukee County, 1002 Overland Court, Grafton, WI 53024, appreciated.
