She married Veteran Warren Gene Thompson on Friday, September 13, 1969, for 52 amazing years. Mr. and Mrs. Thompson has three beautiful children, Shannon Thompson (Holly), Stephanie Thompson, and Stacey Thompson (Jennifer), and along with a handful of grandkids: Derrick, Micaela, Maryssa, Ryanne, and Mitchell. Wanda was being taken good care of by her loving Husband, and her precious beautiful daughter, Stephanie Thompson.
Wanda Thompson was known for her volunteer work: singing at the Veterans Hospital, Christmas Carols at Old Town Spring, and singing at the Shriners; furthermore, she was known for her Baton Twirling and lighting her batons on fire during her performance. Wanda always has a dazzling smile, joyous spirit, and a gentle heart when it comes to her family.
She loves the holidays because she knew that was the time she would get to be with her family, she loved to get her nails done, and dress up to see her family. Wanda would always make a great effort to see all her grandkids in their extracurricular activities, such as, sports, performances, birthdays, etc. Wanda was known for making hot wassel, deviled eggs, cherry pies, Martha Washington candy, and many more festivities for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Wanda’s core values are to love God with all of your heart, mind, soul, and strength, to love family, and to love people. Wanda Kay Thompson finished her race with great endurance, showing her family the love that God had shown her, and with a prayerful heart!
Let us celebrate a godly woman’s return to the home she’s always belonged to, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! "
