Our beloved son, Matthew Austin Taylor of Spring, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on October 29, 2022 at the age of 24. Our family is overwhelmed and deeply saddened by the tragedy. Matthew was born April 23, 1998 in Kingwood, Texas to parents Joseph and Lena Taylor.
As a young man, Matthew participated in the Boy Scouts and Air Force ROTC. He graduated from Klein Collins High School in 2016. He went on to study at Lonestar College and Sam Houston State University earning his Associates of Arts degree in December of 2019.
Matthew had worked several jobs starting with HEB where he made several friends. He currently worked, part time, at The Shipping Store and with his father at Direct Discovery Court Reporting. He enjoyed working with the public directly and making people happy.
He frequently talked about moving to new places like Colorado or Wyoming and getting his passport, international drivers license, and going on an adventure with his best friend Christian to New Zealand. He was an adventurous soul that, unfortunately, never was able to realize the dreams that his beautiful imagination created.
Matthew adored his sisters and, while not working, enjoyed hanging out with his family and friends, reading, playing video games, camping, and dressing up for the Renaissance Festival. He was never afraid to be loud, silly, and make others laugh. He was full of life and will be missed by all.
Matthew was a son, brother, grandson, nephew and cousin. He is survived by his parents, Joseph and Lena; his sisters, Hannah, Jennifer, Julianna and Olivia; and countless other relatives. Anyone that knew Matthew knew he was a special soul. His family and friends will miss him more than words can say.
