She was born in Peru on October 5, 1927. Gloria graduated from University in Peru, South America. Gloria was the daughter of Peruvian Supreme Court Judge Edilberto Zegarra Ballón Valdez and Laura Casabonne de Zegarra Ballón. She was the granddaughter of Edilberto Zegarra Ballón, founder of the El Pueblo newspaper and a published poet. She was married to David Jeremiah Daly on January 25, 1963.
Gloria had a career as an administrative assistant for The Diocese of Galveston – Houston.
She was a member of International Friends of The Woodlands. Gloria enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, David Jeremiah Daly; sister, Hmna. Beatriz Zegarra Ballon Casabonne; brother, Javier Zegarra Ballon Casabonne of Arequipa, Peru; brother-in-law, Harold A. Wente of Rochester, Minnesota.
Gloria is survived by her children, Melissa and Kevin Koy, Michelle Daly-Harbin and Greg Harbin, and John Daly; she is also survived by her grandchildren, Megan Koy, Connor Koy, and Colin Harbin; sister-in-law, Elaine Wente of Rochester, Minnesota and her children and grandchildren and Nelly Páez de Zegarra Ballón of Arequipa, Peru and her children and grandchildren.
