David Wayne Harris, 67, of Houston, passed away on December 16th 2015. He was born on February 7th, 1948 in Olla, Louisiana to John Edward Harris, Jr. and Melba Gough Harris. He is preceded in death by his parents. David was the loving husband of Lynell Rhodes Harris for 38 years. He is survived by his wife and two daughters; Melissa Stagg and her husband Brett of Pineville, LA and Christie Falcone and her husband Jerry of New rleans: five grandchildren; Laura, Leslie, Katie(Melissa’s children),Gianna and Max(Christie’s children). He is also survived by his sister Nancy Volentine and her husband Butch of Plaucheville, LA and numerous nieces and nephews. David had a successful 50 year career in the oil and gas industry where he made many lifelong friendships. He lived his life to the fullest and spent much of his spare time with family and friends cheering for the LSU Tigers, fishing, hunting and playing golf. He will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 21, 2015 at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home and Cemetery at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
