Clayton was born at St. Joseph Hospital in Houston, Texas on December 15, 1945.
He is survived by the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Linda, sister-in-laws, Elizabeth Sivley of San Antonio, Texas and Saundra Sellers of Allen, Texas; brother-in-laws, Walter Tippit, Jr. and wife, Elizabeth of Waco Texas, Peter Tippit and wife Kathy of Houston, Texas and Paul Tippit and wife Donna of Houston, Texas, along with numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, friends, and his furry companions, Sophie and Lillie. He was predeceased by his parents, William T. Sellers Sr. and Audrey Pearl Arrant Sellers, his brother William T. Sellers Jr., and his mother-in-law Frances Tippit.
Clayton was an active long time member of Community Christian Church in The Woodlands and a former longtime member of Spring-Woodlands Church of Christ in The Woodlands.
Clayton had a passion for golf, cruising and travel with Linda. He was a member of The Woodlands Country Club.
Clayton had a carreer of nearly 50 years in the electrical and structural cabling industry and had retired from IE Smart Systems. Before IE Smart Systems, Clayton was employed by Datacom Design Group and was with Fisk Electric Company for over 30 years. He was a member of IBEW 716, held a Master Electrical License for the City of Houston and the State of Texas and was a RCDD NTS/OSP.
