Our sweet mother, Carol Ann Gibson Ross, went to be with Jesus Friday morning October 7, 2022 at the age of 78. Carol was affectionately known by those who loved her as “Mama Carol”. We cannot think of anyone who loved deeper or prayed harder for us than our mom. And although she was on her knees praying for her three children, it did not stop there. She prayed for her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family members, church family, and all of her friends. Carol loved to love people. Her life was a living example of this Bible verse in Ephesians 4:32, “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.”
Carol was preceded in death by her first husband, Frederick Michael Ross; father, Jim Isaac Gibson; mother, Tiny E. Gibson; and sister, Ruth Marie McCombs. Carol is survived by her husband, Don Bolton; son, Dennis Ross and wife Dawn; and two daughters, Robin Ross and Dionne Lunsford and husband Daren. Carol had seven grandchildren, Amanda Ross, Cody Ross, Michaela Ross, Ian McCoin, Jamie Vice and husband Jeremy, Key Lunsford, and Marlie Lunsford. She was blessed with nine great-grandchildren, Evan Lusczki, Braden Ross, Xavier Ross, Jeremiah Moon, Michael Moon, Paige Moon, Aarion Walton, Kaylee Vice, and Nikolas Vice. All of these, she loved and touched deeply.
Carol was born October 4, 1944 in Hanford Washington. She married Frederick Michael Ross at a young age and was married for almost 42 years. She remarried several years later to a long-time friend, Don Bolton. Carol and Don have been married 12 years. Carol worked many years as a cosmetologist, and then later in life got a job at Continental Airlines where she retired after 20 years. Carol loved living on the lake. She loved to watch the sunset over the water.
She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
