Beverly Priddy was born on January 10, 1934 to the late Earl Arnold Froelich and Evelyn Tomek Froelich in Houston, Texas. She married the love of her life, Thomas Lynn Priddy on September 5, 1953. They have two daughters, Carol Priddy Morrison and Kendra Priddy Martin, who learned kindness, compassion, generosity and selflessness from their parents.
Beverly lived her life serving God, her family and her friends. She gave her life to the Lord and served joyfully in her church, singing in the choir, playing handbells, teaching children, and serving where needed. Beverly was a master seamstress. She made clothing for her daughters, smocked for her granddaughters and made beautiful quilts. She taught first grade for twenty-seven years, impacting the lives of many children. After retiring, she raised prize-winning camelias and enjoyed playing golf, serving as president of the Ladies golf association several times. Beverly and Tommy traveled extensively, playing golf, attending their grandchildren’s sporting events and sightseeing. One of her favorite times of the year was watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren participate in golf camp. She also loved “Priddy family vacation”, family holiday gatherings and could always be found reading a book with a grandchild or a great-grandchild on her lap.
Beverly went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 27, 2023. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Thomas Lynn Priddy and two daughters, Carol Priddy Morrison of Magnolia, Texas and Kendra Priddy Martin and husband Van of Katy, Texas, sisters Earlyn Tompkins, Wanda Waters and Donna Welch. Grandchildren include Jonathan Morrison and wife Elizabeth, Thomas Morrison and wife Ashley, Andrew Morrison and wife Carrie, Katelyn Park and husband Harrison, Claire Martin, Hannah Morrison, and Christy Friedrichsen and husband Michael. Beverly was affectionately known as “Maw” to eight great-grandchildren: Jack, Donald, Henry, Matthew, Lily Grace, Paxton, Cooper and Teddy. She was preceded in death by her parents and her son-in-law, Alan Morrison.
