Bennie Lanier Williamson was born on Friday December 13, 1940 in Houston, Texas to Melvin and Geneva Williamson. The Houston Press wrote an article about his Friday 13th birthdate entitled “Who Said Hoo Doo? This Jinx Day Baby Isn’t Scared".
Bennie attended John H. Reagan High School and graduated in 1958. He then attended the University of Houston and graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1967. He continued his education and in 1973 became a Certified Public Accountant. Bennie worked for several companies until he found a home at SCI where he worked until 1979. In 1983 he opened a private practice and remained there until his retirement in 2014.
Bennie liked playing golf and also playing slot machines (which he was never good at). He also enjoyed being on the Brisket Cases, one of the many Bar-B-Q teams that competed at Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
