Aimee Mouton passed away on Thursday, March 17th 2022 while on vacation in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. Born on October 20, 1973, she grew up in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana before leaving to come to Texas in the early 1990s with her family.
Aimee would then have two boys, Jonathan Houston & Cameron Mouton, and would become a single mother for most of her life. Despite having to constantly juggle a professional and family life, she always made sure to prioritize her family. She would attend Sam Houston State University from 2004 to 2006 - graduating with a bachelor's degree in accounting. Yes, she did this while working and being a mother of two!
As many who live in the Houston area, Aimee worked primarily in the oilfield, quickly becoming a controller and even CFO of several different oil/gas companies. She was always ambitious and willing to do whatever it took to succeed in a field dominated by men. She was always quite proud of her work-life achievements, and her children are proud of what she accomplished.
Aimee had frequently volunteered for different veteran's benefits, including sending care packages to soldiers stationed overseas, helping provide food for homeless vets, and helping to gut and find new houses for vets in the Houston area in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey.
Aimee loved to travel and visited many different cities, whether that be for work or leisure. She met many people across the world during this time and made many friends. They all send their love to her.
Aimee is survived by her two sons - Jonathan Houston and Cameron Mouton. She is also survived by her two parents - Mel Mouton & Betty Houston Mouton. She was one of three children, and is survived by her two brothers - Mike Mouton & Matt Mouton.
The funeral service will be at Forest Park - The Woodlands Funeral Home, 18000 I45 S in The Woodlands, on Thursday March 31st at 2:00 PM. A visitation will be held that same Thursday from 12:00 PM till 2:00 PM.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.forestparkthewoodlands.com for the Mouton family.
