Wayne Edwards, 79, of Texarkana, TX passed away August 4, 2013 in a local nursing home. Mr. Edwards was born September 13, 1933 in Noble, LA. Mr. Edwards was a man that served his country and was devoted to the Air Force for 23 years. He worked for the Louisiana Postal Service for the rest of his working years, in the Shreveport, LA area. He was of the Pentecostal faith.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary (Bell) Edwards;
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Edwards, of Texarkana, TX; and a son, Dewayne Edwards of New York City, NY.
Memorial service will be 4 p.m.,Thursday August 8, 2013 at East Memorial Chapel - Downtown with Rev. Gene Ross and Rev. Marie Ross officiating.
The family will be at the home of Larry and Francis Powell, 901 E. 43rd St., Texarkana, AR.
Services are under the direction of East Funeral Home - Downtown.
