Ruby Elaine Brooks, age 63, of Texarkana, Arkansas passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2023. Ruby was born on October 24, 1959 in Texarkana, TX. She is a member of Brushwood Cowboy Church. She loved her friends and her dogs fiercely. She is resting and at peace now with her granddaughter Shelby.
She is preceded in death by her father Edward Dodd, her bonus dad Dewie Higgs, granddaughter Shelby Harvey and brother Terry Dodd, brother Rodney Jackson.
She is survived by her husband Tommy Brooks; daughter Amanda Heichelheim and husband Danny; mother Ruby Higgs; brothers Gary Dodd, Billy Cummings and Benny Dodd; daughters Kristy White and husband Randy, Channon Dodson and husband Brett, Gina Flickinger and husband Kevin, daughter Donnie Huggins and husband Michael, Thomas Brooks, Jr. and Robert Brooks and wife Robyn; step mother Gloria Rowe and husband James. Plus a multitude of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, January 6, 2023 at East Funeral Home-Downtown with Pastor Billy Cummings officiating.
Family will receive friends from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. Friday prior to the service at East Funeral Home-Downtown. The family will accept visitors at the visitation services, but ask for privacy at their home during this time.
