Raymond Hilliard Ledford

He was born September 30th, 1941 in Hayesville, North Carolina. He is preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Lillie Ledford; sister, Veta Mae and brothers Rit, Lloyd, Johnny, Keiffer, and Junior Ledford. He is survived by a sister, Glenda Garrett, and brother, James Ledford, both of Hayesville, along with many loved nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Joyce Ledford; his children Lorrie Walker (Kirk) of Dripping Springs, Texas; Todd Ledford (Vanessa) of Texarkana, Arkansas; Bryan Ledford of Texarkana, Texas; and Susan Walters (Stan) of Texarkana, Texas.

Ray enjoyed spending time with family and growing a garden, but his favorite role was being Papa to his grandkids, Sarah Smith, Taylor and Jake Ledford, Brett and Juliana Ledford, and Jack, Drew, and Reid Walters.

A family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Anyone wishing to honor his memory can make a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association.
