Mary Jean Sewell, age 89, of Nash, Texas passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2022. Mary was born July 6, 1933 in Taylor, Arkansas. She loved cooking for her family and never met a stranger. Member of First Baptist Church-Moores Lane. Mary loved telling jokes and was very good at it.
She was preceded in death by her parents, W. M. and Georgia Ruth Barnard; husbands, Carl Sewell and W. F. McFaul; son Jeffery D. Sewell; and grandson, Christopher Hagood and a brother Willie Barnard.
Survivors include, son, Michael Sewell of Nash, TX; daughters and sons-in-law, Cathy Missildine and husband, Leon of Texarkana, AR, Karen Marshall of Nashville, AR and Mary Ann Eason and husband, Nick of Mansfield, AR; sister, Montene McDonald of Texarkana, TX; grandchildren, Brian Burns, Josh Hagood, Collin Sewell, Kristopher Pardue, Austin Sewell and Nickolas Eason; great grandchildren, Emma, Bree and Brian, Jr. Bur, Clayton Hagood.
Services will be 3 p.m., Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at East Memorial Chapel - Moores Lane. Burial in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens under the direction of East Funeral Home - Moores Lane.
Family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the service.
