Mary Jo Fragala, was born on March 23, 1931 in Alto,Texas. She was the only child of Homer and Mabel Houston. She graduated from Northwestern State University with a degree in art education in June, 1952. While attending college she was a member of Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority. She was a beloved teacher who taught Home Economics. She was an amazing artist who loved to paint.
During her later years she would enjoy spending time watching her grandsons participating in sporting events, reading books, watching movies, and watching her favorite teams the LSU Tigers and the PG Hawks.
She passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at the age 90 in Texarkana, Texas surrounded by her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents Homer and Mabel Houston, one son Nicholas Fragala Jr. and one grandson Riley White.
She is survived by three daughters and one son. Laura Roberts and husband Todd, Paul Fragala, Donna White and husband Jamie, Becky Dubea and husband Larry. As well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mitchell and Blake Roberts and Tommy Rainey.
Visitation will be held on Friday March 11, 2022 from 5:30 to 7:30 P.M. at East Funeral Home 2807 Moores Lane Texarkana, Texas. Graveside service will be held Saturday March 12, 2022 at 2:30 P.M. at Memorial Park Cemetery 10800 US-425 Bastrop, LA.
