Jerry Wayne McCoy

Jerry was born on January 6, 1948 in Texarkana, Arkansas. He was a loving husband, father and Paw Paw. He was a diesel mechanic and owner of Ark-La-Tex Diesel and a Baptist. Nothing pleased Jerry more than watching his grandson, Noah, play ball and spending time with his granddaughter, Jade.

He was preceded in death by his father Henry Ethridge McCoy and his mother Granny Nell McMahon.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 46 years, Linda McCoy of Texarkana, AR; four sons and a daughter-in-law, Barry and Michelle McCoy of Texarkana, TX, Brian McCoy of Texarkana, AR, Anthony McCoy of Texarkana, AR and Chris McCoy of Hope, AR; one daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Terrell Crittenden of Texarkana, TX; a sister, Nelda Riggs and a brother, David McCoy, both of Texarkana, AR; two grandchildren, Noah Crittenden and Jade Elizabeth McCoy of Texarkana, TX; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, February 8, 2012, at East Memorial Chapel - Downtown with Father Jerry Hill officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens under the direction of East Funeral Home - Downtown.

Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at the funeral home.
