Dennis Ray Burnham, age 67, of Texarkana, Texas passed away on Monday, October 18, 2021. Dennis was born December 8, 1953 in Texarkana, TX to Herman and Maxine Burnham. He attended The University of Houston and The University of Texas at Austin. He was a member of Walnut Church of Christ and worked at the family business Hinshaw Upholstery and multiple insurance companies including National Family Care. He was a member of the NRA, the Maud Gun Club, and the Texas Skeet Shooters Association. His musical talents spanned across numerous bluegrass bands and barbershop quartet groups. He was a lifelong Longhorns fan and avid golfer.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Sandy Burnham of Texarkana, TX; mother, Maxine Hinshaw Burnham of Texarkana, TX; daughter and son-in-law, Christy and Mitch Amerson of Lindale, TX; grandson, Morgan Amerson of Lindale, TX; son Adam Burnham of Austin, TX; brother and sister-in-law, Maxie "Bubba" Burnham and Tanya of Waco, TX; aunt, Francine Davis of Texarkana, AR; sister-in-law, Debra Gallant of Brazoria, TX; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Judy and Charlie Coffee of Magnolia, TX; and many more family members and a host of Christian brothers and sisters; and his furbuddy, Biscuit.
Services will be 3 p.m., Friday, October 22, 2021 at East Memorial Chapel - Moores Lane with Bro. Patrick Cannon officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park under the direction of East Funeral Home - Moores Lane.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home prior to the service.
