Cynthia E. Bowen

Mrs. Bowen was born August 10th,1939 at Fort Sill in Lawton Oklahoma. She was an avid artist and was a member of Texarkana First Church of Nazarene. She was a cosmetology instructor for Texarkana College for 15 years.

Mrs. Bowen was preceded in death by her parents Bruce A. Giddens Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Bates Giddens; Brother, Bruce A. Giddens Jr. and sister Lucille Marie Ball and her loving husband Donald Richard Bowen Sr.

Survivors include her daughter Donna Elizabeth Potter and two sons and daughters-in-law; Donald Richard Bowen Jr. and his wife Traci and William Kenneth Bowen and his wife Debora. A sister Gloria Giddens Moore and a brother William Clark Giddens and his wife Becky.

Also left to cherish her memory are her grandchildren; Jessica Brumley and her husband Noah, Sarah Potter, Katherine Potter and John Potter, Christopher Bowen and wife Courtney, Jonathan Bowen and his wife Andi, Jordan Bowen and Adam Bowen and four great grandchildren Leighton Brumley, Emerson Bowen, Olivia Bowen and Bennett Bowen.

She also leaves to cherish her memory her extended family at Cornerstone Retirement Community.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, October 13th, 2024 at East Funeral Home-Moores Lane.

Graveside services will be 2:00 Monday , October 14th, 2024 at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Rev. Dennis Heath officiating and Sidney Elmore sharing a few words in remembrance of Mom and her time at Cornerstone.
