unexpectedly. She was born in Statesboro, GA on October 4, 1948, daughter of the late
Charles B. And Eunice U. Griffin of Georgia. She is survived by her spouse Allen C. Bills
and her two daughters, Laura Grace Bills Weems and husband Harold G. Weems, Jr, MD and
Rebecca Lorraine Bills Clay and husband Dallas Murray Clay. She is also survived by seven
remaining siblings: Clyde Griffin and his wife Judy Griffin of Savannah, GA, Fred Griffin and his wife
Karen Griffin of Rincon, GA, Sharon Griffin Kribbs and her husband Chuck Kribbs of Franklin, NC,
Carol Griffin Murray and her husband Billy Murray of Augusta, GA, Joe Griffin and his late wife Ann Griffin,
of Richmond Hill, GA, Barbara Jean Griffin Love and her husband Frank Love of Pooler,
GA, and Gerald Griffin of Savannah, GA. Siblings preceded in death: Robert Griffin and
Doug Griffin of Savannah, GA. and Faye Jenkins of Rocky Ford, GA. She is also
survived by 9 grandchildren - Maegan Elizabeth Weems, Rachel Kathleen Weems, Jacob
Thomas Weems, Emma Grace Weems, Carli Mckina Clay, Raegan Dallas Clay, Jaxon
Doyle Clay, Cameron Allen Pinkerton and Cheyenne Taylor Pinkerton, and numerous
nieces and nephews. She graduated from Robert W. Groves High School in Garden City, GA in 1966 and
graduated from Georgia Southern University in 1969 with a Bachelor of Science Degree
in Education with a major in English. Graduated from East Texas State University in
1988 with a Masters degree program in counseling and guidance, degree in counseling
psychology. She spent 20 years as a teacher, and 20 years counseling in both Texas
Independent School District and Redwater Independent School District where she then
retired. She had many hobbies including reading, crocheting, doing puzzles, spending time with
her friends and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a loving devoted
daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother and touched anyone who knew her. She
enjoyed watching NASCAR, Football, various reality shows and loved listening to live
music. She had a big heart and was willing to help anyone who needed it.
A memorial service will be held Friday, March 16, 2018 at 2pm at the Texarkana Seventh
Day Adventist Church; 3100 Pleasant Grove Road, Texarkana, TX. Visitation will be
