Juanita Burns

Juanita was born August 14, 1920 in Terrell, Texas to Jessie and Pearlie (Gann) Boon.

Juanita was a hard worker and worked over 32 years at Safeway before retiring. She loved to make large homecooked meals for her family and was the best caregiver for her family. She had the biggest heart of gold and such a giver. Juanita loved to make quilts and watch her game shows on the television. She loved spending time in her garden tending to her plants and flowers. Juanita was a faithful member of Locust Grove Baptist Church in Wills Point.

Juanita is preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 1/2 years Willie A. Burns, three children Cecil Rex, Sue Lewis and Billy Ray Burns, one grandson Larry Bagwell and her 6 siblings.

Those left with cherished memories are her grandchildren Debra Chism and husband Tim and Kyle Burns, two great grandchildren Shannon Huy and husband A.J. and Ryan Chism, daughter in law Patricia Burns and a host of nieces, nephews and other beloved family and friends who will miss her dearly.

A visitation for Juanita will be held Wednesday, October 21, 2020 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Anderson Clayton Funeral Home in Terrell, Texas. A graveside service will occur Thursday, October 22, 2020 at 11:00 AM at College Mound Cemetery.
