William Clovis Rukes

William Clovis Rukes, of Terre Haute, passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at the age of 80 years old. William was born to Forest and Bernice Rukes on August 8, 1944. He went on to marry Va Rukes. William was a member of the Masonic lodge, served in the U.S. Navy from 1962 to 1963, and went on the create patterns for machinery. He enjoyed fishing, horseshoe, bowling, and woodworking in his spare time. William is survived by his wife Va; children Kari L. Moody and Teri L. Winegar (husband Scott); step children Tasha L. Mcdowell, Joyce A. Young (husband Brad), and Cha S. Lizdas (husband Michael); sisters Francis Joseph and Jennie Crowder; brother Herb Rukes; seven grand children; four great grand children; and many nieces and nephews. William is preceded in death by his parents, and eight brothers and sisters. Visitation will be held Monday, November 25, 2024 at Roselawn Funeral Home from 11AM to 1PM with funeral services to follow at 1PM.
