Sharon Jean Sandiford, 75, of Terre Haute, passed away on Monday, August 22, 2022 at the Gibson Family Center for Hospice. She was born on June 7, 1947, in Terre Haute to Robert Franklin and Norma Jean (Griffith) Miller.
Sharon is survived by her children: Lori Reininga and husband Greg of Clinton and Jeff Sandiford and wife Melissa of Terre Haute; grandchildren, Orin Reininga (Jennifer), Katie Wolfe (Jordan), Kari Wolfe (Austin), Scott Reininga (Tiffany Webb), Justin Sandiford (Kaitlyn), Kayle Sandiford (Mariah), Caitlin Sandiford (Jay Prestes), and Eli Warrick; and great-grandchildren, Madelyn, Olivia, Abigail, Lillian, Benjamin, Ethan, Jase, Lane, Aubree, and Madison.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Connor Gladden.
As a young woman and mother, Sharon was an owner of Farmersburg Farm Supply for several years. Sharon then worked for many years as an office manager for Dr. Richard Wangelin. A history buff, Sharon attended ISU, majoring in World History. She had a passion for learning from the past and sharing that knowledge with others. Sharon was an avid reader and also enjoyed watching HGTV in her spare time.
A long-time member of Sugar Creek Baptist Church, Sharon was devout in her faith. She loved attending church every Sunday and she drew her strength from the Lord. She was a dog lover, known for her quiet, contemplative nature, and deep love for her family. She will be truly missed.
A private graveside ceremony will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park. A public Celebration of Life will be held from noon until 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 27 at Sugar Creek Baptist Church in West Terre Haute. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your local animal shelter. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.roselawnfuneralhome.net
