Sharon R. Daugherty, 69 of Terre Haute, IN passed away unexpectedly on March 7, 2013. Sharon was born December 19, 1943, to Paul Wilson and Virginia Needham Wilson.
Sharon was survived by her mother of Terre Haute, Daughter Roberta O’Dell and husband Jim of Terre Haute, grandchildren Ryan McBroom, Ashley McBroom and Dustin Edinburgh of Terre Haute, and great grandchild, Jayden Edinburgh. Also surviving are sisters Shirley "Annie" Trosper and husband Gary, Lois Melvin and husband Gail, of Terre Haute and brothers Richard "Skip" Wilson and wife Sherry, Edward "Butch "Wilson and wife Delores, and Johnny Wilson all of Terre Haute and a sister-in-law, Mary Wilson, of Terre Haute. Sharon is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins and the most important person and the love of her life, great grandson Jayden Lee Edinburgh, who loved her dearly. Jayden’s eyes would light up and he would grin from ear to ear when he saw Grandma Sharon.
Sharon was preceded in death by her father Paul W. Wilson, husband Ronald R. Daugherty Sr. whom she married October 13, 1962, son Ronald R. Daugherty Jr., brothers Ronald Wilson and "Kenny" Wilson, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and sisters-in-law.
Sharon loved spending time with her family, playing bingo and was in a Bunco club for 40 years. She was recently inducted into the A.S.A. Hall of Fame. Sharon was loved by all who knew her and will be dearly missed
Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at 11:00 AM at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home with visitation Monday, March 11, 2013, from 4:00-8:00 PM. Officiating will be Pastor Bill Herb with burial to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. On line condolences can be made at www.mattoxwood .com
