Satomi Archer

Satomi Archer, 80, of Terre Haute, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at Cobblestone Crossings. She was born on December 1, 1934, in Hokkaido, Japan, to Toichi and Nobu Saito. Satomi worked for many years as a general operator for Sony DADC. She was also a master seamstress and had her own business. She loved to sew and was an avid reader. She had a green thumb and a passion for gardening. Satomi is survived by her children, Kathleen Neville and husband Roy of Bradenton, FL, David Archer of Terre Haute, and Bonnie G. Madden and husband John of Manassas, VA; grandsons, Jason Harrison, Joshua Madden, and John Madden; brother, Isao Saito, sisters, Michiko Hasegawa and Mieko Itomoto, all of Hokkaido, Japan; and a brother-in-law Bill Archer and wife Fay of Woodbridge, VA. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Chester A. Archer. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14 at Roselawn Funeral Home. A memorial will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, at the funeral home. Satomi will be laid to rest at a later date in Roselawn Memorial Park’s Chapel of Memories.
