Martha Madeline Neal

Martha M. Neal, 88, of West Terre Haute, passed away on Sunday, July 29, 2013. She was born on November 13, 1924, in Universal to Quincy and Henrietta (Hargrave) Williams. She married Roy Neal and he preceded her in death on January 6, 1988. Martha worked for many years at St. Anthony’s Hospital and was there for the transition to Terre Haute Regional Hospital. She ran the printing machine for the hospital, worked in the mailroom and delivered documents to all the departments, and worked in the storeroom. She loved to do yardwork, especially mowing. She also enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.

Martha is survived by her daughters, Martha Kay Neal and Wilma Lee Neal, both of West Terre Haute; sons, Ronald Earl Neal and wife Sharon of Chattanooga, TN and Nicky Gene Neal and wife Paula of Sullivan; grandchildren, Melissa Whitesell and husband Matt, Amy Neal, Matthew Neal and wife Lori, and Sasha Neal; great-grandchildren, Luke, Jake and Drew Neal, and a cousin Lucille Strole.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Roy, and sisters Mary Ellen Byers, Lena VanDyke, and Frances Neal.

Per Martha’s wishes cremation was chosen with burial next to her husband in Roselawn Memorial Park. Mattox-Wood Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed at www.mattoxwood.com.
