Marjorie Lou Hyde

Marjorie L. (Thomas) Hyde, 84, of Terre Haute, passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born on January 7, 1932, in New Mexico, to Rueben C. and Mable H. (Layman) Thomas.

She is survived by her children: Sandra Brandt of Terre Haute, Rick Hyde of Oklahoma, Mike Hyde of Terre Haute, Dennis Hyde of Terre Haute, Jeff Hyde of Oklahoma, John Hyde of Terre Haute, and Janet Naliborski of Kentucky; three sisters, Shirley Mason of Illinois, Carolyn Willan of Indianapolis, and Charlotte Smith of Terre Haute; twenty-one grandchildren, thirty-three great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James D. Hyde; a son, Donald Hyde; two grandsons, Jimmy Hyde and Dennis Hyde, Jr.; and a brother, Jack Thomas.

Marjorie enjoyed doing needlepoint. She also loved going to yard sales. She will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be held from 11 to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 16 at Thomas Funeral Home. Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, at the funeral home. Marjorie will be laid to rest in Roselawn Memorial Park. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.thomasfuneralhome.net
