Obituary of Judith Ann Elledge
Judith Ann Elledge, passed away on June 18, 2024, we're sure she was given the biggest hugs and kiss by the love of her life, Jim Elledge, as she entered the gates of heaven. She was born November 30, 1941 in St. Bernice, IN to Walter Wesley Chambers and Edna Marie Williams Chambers. She is preceded in death by her husband Jim, a grandchild Jordan, son-in-law Cody Bright, sisters; Margaret Chambers, Dixie Ruffattola, and Dianna Cowsert, brothers; Billy Chambers, Jack Chambers, Ross Chambers, Paul Chambers, Walter Chambers Jr., and Max Chambers. Judy retired from Union Hospital where she was a housekeeping supervisor. She belonged to the Delta Theta Tau sorority. Judy and Jim belonged to the Gold Wing Club as they rode with many couples from the Terre Haute area, she was an avid mushroom hunter and liked fishing. She enjoyed baking/decorating cakes and attending every single function that her children were involved in. Later in life she attended activities that her grandchildren and her greats participated in. She loved to be the one to shout out "BINGO!" anywhere she could play, (usually with her best friend, Pat Hayes, who we're also sure met her as she entered those pearly gates). She also loved cooking the best comfort food and being with family at any get together that she was invited to or could have. She had a wonderful sense of humor and the ability to make any bad day a better one for whoever she came in contact with, her number one priority was always her family. The last five years she has made many new friends and has been very active in the community that she has lived in. Judy is survived by her children; Penny (Tom) Miller, Jene Bright, Jay (Amy) Reed. Grandchildren; Brittany Marshall, Jamie (Derek) Weir, David Black Jr. (Kate), Lindsey (Tony) Hedden, John Reed, and Jared Reed. Great- grandchildren; Morgan DeVanis, Corey Shelton, Jaxson Milam, Talon Spillman, Koen Spillman, Jalyn Weir, and Mason Hedden. Judy is also survived by two brothers; John Rex Chambers and Bernard (Sharon) Chambers. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, along with their families. Visitation is scheduled at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home at 4660 North Lafayette on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 from 4PM to 8PM and Wednesday, June 26, from 10AM to 12PM.
