Gordon was born to Laurel Wayne and Mary Ann (Sanders) Henriott December 1, 1948. He graduated from Indiana State University, where he was a proud brother of Pi Lambda Phi, in 1972 with a Bachelor’s in Education. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Army where he rose to the rank of Sergeant and served his country proudly. After retiring from the Army, Gordon became a teacher, even working at the Rockville Women’s Correctional Facility helping inmates get their GED’s.
Gordon was a Deacon at the World Gospel Church and was very involved in church activities. He enjoyed mowing, woodworking, was an ISU Basketball season ticket holder, enjoyed spending time with his close friend Carol Davis, and made sure to keep in touch with his fraternity brothers.
Gordon is survived by his Son Tom Henriott (Celia); grandchildren Hadyne, Audrina, Rylee, Landon, and Savannah; brothers-in-law Ray (Jeanette) and Keith (Kathy) Clark; and several nieces and nephews.
Gordon was preceded in death by his parents Laurel and Mary Ann Henriott, wife Joyce Henriott, brother Ron Henriott, and nephew Brad Clark.
Visitation will be held at World Gospel Church on Friday, December 6, 2024 from 10am to 11am with services to follow.
