Ross B Barnes Jr.

Ross Barnes Jr age 88, from Temple, TX was born Oct. 4, 1926 in Troy, TX. He was raised and educated in Salado, TX, served in the US Navy from 1947-1950.He was a member of Belton Nazarene Church for over 45 years, he loved fishing, NASCAR, Dallas Cowboys and spending time with family and friends.

He leaves loving memories to share with his wife Janice Sue Barnes of Temple, sons; George Barnes of Soccoro, NM, Ross Barnes III (Betty) of Temple,

Gary Barnes (Beverly) of Lewisville, TX, Louis Lidey (Janice) of Temple, TX, Earl Roger Lidey (Vicki) of Temple, TX, daughters; Linda Atkins (William "Billy") of Temple, TX and Carol Grundy (Lonnie) of Cedar Hill, TX. Ross also has 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Ross is preceded in death by 7 brothers and 3 sisters and 1 son, Keith Barnes.

You may make donations out to Taylors Valley Baptist Church in Temple and Belton Nazarene Church of Belton.

Visitation will be Sunday, June 7, 2015 from 4:00pm-6:00pm at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home of Temple, funeral service will be held Monday, June 8, 2015 at 10:00 am at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home burial will follow at Greathouse Cemtery of Temple.
