Services for Mrs. Wade will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 12 at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at Bellwood Memorial Park.
A visitation will be held from 3:00 until 4:00 PM on Friday, October 11 at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home, 3110 Airport Road in Temple.
Mrs. Wade was born on September 14, 1928 in Temple, Texas, the daughter of Homer Knight Northen and Ruth Huey Northen Martin. She married J. W. Wade on November 26, 1949, in Troy, Texas. Mrs. Wade was a homemaker. Throughout her life, she was a member of her local Baptist church. One of her great joys was becoming an active member of the award-winning Rhythm Rockers line dance team.
Mrs. Wade is survived by her daughter Marilyn Wade and son-in-law Paul Arrow of Los Angeles, California and three grandchildren Alan Wade, Samantha Wade, and Matthew Wade Arrow (Lucy Simmons Miller). She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 59 years, J. W. Wade, her son Glen Wade, her parents, and a sister Kathryn Greer (Jimmy Greer) and brother Bill Northen (Billie Jean).
