No services are planned for Melton Gene Retzlaff, 83, of Temple.
Mr. Retzlaff died Tuesday at his residence.
Mr. Retzlaff was born August 29, 1938 in Waco to Willie Retzlaff and Thelma Barber Retzlaff. He lived in the Temple area all of his life and graduated from Temple High School. He served in the U.S. Army. He married Debra McMillan in July, 1983. He owned and operated Axle and Wheel Aligning Company, was a truck driver and also worked at Wal Mart. He was a member of the Methodist Church.
Mr. Retzlaff was preceded in death by one son Melton Todd Retzlaff and his brother Bill (Shorty) Retzlaff.
Survivors include his wife Debra Retzlaff of Temple; two step sons Terry Joe Alexander and his wife Teresa of Gatesville and Russell Dean Bohannon and his wife Grethel of Dallas; sisters Mary Ann Evans of Temple and Barbara Kay Naiver and her husband Frank of Little River-Academy; sister-in-law Ardell Retzlaff of Temple; four grandchildren Bradley Kyle Retzlaff, Emilie Bohannon, Jacob Bohannon and Luke Bohannon; one great grandchild Kylie Case.
