Lisa Marie Martinez

Funeral services for Lisa Marie Martinez, 51, of Temple will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home with Rev. Steven Sauser officiating.  Burial will be in Temple Garden of Memories. Lisa Marie died Saturday in a Temple hospital. Lisa Marie was born Dec. 7, 1966 in Temple to Gene Leland McGahan and Herlinda Castillo McGahan.  She graduated from Troy High School in 1985.  She lived in Temple all of her life and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.  She worked as a Certified Nurses Aid. Survivors include her husband Jesse Martinez of Temple; her mother Herlinda McGahan of Troy; one daughter Nancy Marie Vargas of Georgia; one son George Vargas, Jr. of Troy; one brother Gene McGahan II and his wife Melanie of Troy; three sisters Melinda Pena and her husband Jose L. of Troy, Juanita Krepp and her husband Nicholas of Troy and Kae-C Clark of San Antonio and seven grandchildren Leyla Marie Walker, Logan Prellop, Austin Prellop, Hayley Wells, Jacqueline Nicole Vargas, Andrew Kingston Boone and Nyaida Lisa Tames and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at 6:00 P.M. Monday, with Rosary being recited at 7:00 P.M. at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home.
