Kevin Wayne Murray

Kevin Wayne Murray, age 33 of New Braunfels, died Saturday, November 24, 2012 at his residence. Services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, November 28 at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Bellwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Kevin was born January 1, 1979 in Temple to Dan and Tammy Reid Murray. He graduated from Troy High School in 1998. He joined the U. S. Army in 1997 when he was a junior in high school and served in the Army Reserves until 2005. He served four months in Guatemala. He married Cassandra Lynn Stevens on June 21, 2008 in Sycamore, Illinois. He worked many years as an estimator and was currently employed at DNT Construction Company in San Antonio as a takeoff specialist. He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Betty Villines, Joan Murray and Bobbie Reid. Survivors include his wife, Cassandra Lynn Stevens Murray and his daughter, Taylor Marie Murray of New Braunfels, his parents, Dan Alan Murray and wife, Melinda of Oenaville and Tammy Thompson and husband, Mike of Temple, two brothers, Bradley and Brandon Sula both of Temple, three sisters, Kelli Biddle and husband, Mark of Temple, Kristen Jarzynkowski and husband, Todd of Fort Bragg, NC and Laurie Darley and husband, Scott of Temple. Also surviving are grandparents, Rex Murray and wife, Jo Ann and Robert Reid all of Temple and nine nieces and nephews, Orin, Ebin, Adin and Alin Biddle, Joshua Sula, Bryson and Kaylea Jarzynkowski, Alexandria Darley and Wyatt Stevens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kevin's name at Texell Credit Union.
