Georgie was the youngest of six children, born on August 24, 1931 to George Martin and Martha Marks Pricer in Little River. She attended Academy ISD schools and in 1948 graduated as salutatorian from Academy High School, where she received numerous awards for her basketball skills. Georgie married Albert Frank Vasek on November 11, 1948 and later worked as a teacher aide at Temple ISD (Reagan Elementary) for 25 years. After Albert’s death on April 9, 1978, she remained a widow until her marriage to Vernon White on December 30, 2000, a marriage that endured until Vernon’s death on October 25, 2014.
Georgie loved her family so much. She cherished times they spent altogether, whether if was a fish fry, birthday party, Christmas, or any other occasion.
A highlight of her life was attending Temple Brethren Church (now Cross Church on Birdcreek), where she was a Sunday School teacher, Vacation Bible School volunteer, and a member of the Christian Sisters women’s group, Primetimers seniors fellowship, and numerous quilting groups. She was an encourager when it came to children and she always gave them hugs and attention. She loved attending worship and the love and fellowship she had with dear friends who worshipped with her.
Her hobbies included sewing, making gorgeous quilts, gardening and canning pickles, yard work, cooking, and reading.

Our deepest appreciation goes to Baylor Scott and White Hospice and the loving care teams from STC 4th and 2nd floors. Words cannot express how grateful we are that she received her end of life care from such compassionate doctors, nurses, and caretakers.
Memorials can be given to Baylor Scott and White Hospice (5701 Airport Rd, Temple, TX 76502), Wilson Valley Cemetery Association, or Seaton Cemetery.
While we cannot adequately convey our sense of loss, we still rejoice for Georgie that her earthly journey is complete and she is now in her eternal home wrapped in God’s loving arms. As our mother held our hands when we were little and held us close to her heart, we will hold her love in our hearts forever.
