Elizabeth L. Grayson

Elizabeth L. Grayson, age 92 of Temple, died Friday, April 12, 2013 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, April 15, 2013 at Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Ridge Adams officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 4-6:00 pm Sunday, April 14, 2013 at the funeral home. Mrs. Grayson was born on January 15, 1921 in Richmond, Virginia to the late Charles Tuck and Florence Lee Kersey Tuck. She attended schools in Richmond and graduated from high school there. She married Doyle M. Grayson on December 7, 1945 and he preceded her in death on November 13, 1982. Mrs. Grayson was a member of Memorial Baptist Church where she was active in the Bereavement Committee. She dearly loved all of her grandchildren and her life revolved around them. Mrs. Grayson was preceded in death by parents, her husband, one brother and one sister. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Eric Cox, Stacy Fincher, Adam Elrod, Travis Elrod, Cameron Gorman, Kevin Gorman and Shawn Gorman. Survivors include four daughters, Doris Cox and Nancy Fincher, both of Temple, Rita Elrod of Houston and Kathy Gorman of Corpus Christi; 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Memorials may be given in Mrs. Grayson's name to Memorial Baptist Church or Scott & White Hospice.
