Funeral services for Doris Nell Murray, 97, of Temple will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home with Charlie Day officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Mrs. Murray died Saturday in a Temple Hospital.
Mrs. Murray was born March 15, 1921 in Temple to Thomas Lewis Harper and Louise Elliott Harper. She graduated from Temple High School in 1939. She married Jerry Murray December 5, 1945. He preceded her in death in 1983. She worked for McLellan, Woolworth, Barry’s Department Store and V & M Gift Shop. She lived in Temple most of her life and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter Jerry Nell Davis and her husband Mickey of Temple; one grandchild Craig Lee Davis of Austin and one great grandchild Kaylei Marie Williams of Temple.
Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Thursday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home.
