COOK, Joseph A., age 78, passed away on May 3, 2015 in Temple Terrace, Florida. He was born in Cabin Creek, WV., to Bruce and Gladys (Gatewood) Cook. Mr. Cook was an honorable US Air Force Veteran, and served in Korea. After service, Joe worked as an Air Traffic Controller for over twenty years. He was a beloved daddy, grandfather and friend and always had a story to tell. He is survived by two daughters, Angela Chillura (Frank), Michele Davis, one brother, James (Beth), two sisters, Anna and Janet, seven grandchildren, Steven, Julianna, Joseph, Marissa, and Francesca Chillura, Joey Tucker (Liz), Megan Davis, and one great grandchild Hailey Tucker. He was preceded in death by his son, Bryan Cook. Visitation will be on Monday May 11, 2015 from 5 – 7 PM at Blount & Curry Terrace Oaks Funeral Home. Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday at 2:30 PM at Florida National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
