A proud member of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers, he retired after a 40 year career as a mason, in 1999. When not working and taking care of his family, he was happiest on the water boating with his wife, Linda and their many friends, and taking in the scenes during their numerous camping trips across the United States traveling to places as far as Alaska. When not on the water, he could be found tinkering in his barn and on his numerous RVs, boats and cars. He enjoyed winters in Florida where he could continue to get out on the water year round.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Linda Gay King; his daughter, Kimberly Clark; and his brothers Paul King and Oscar Kenny King. Survivors include his sister, Myrtle McClure; son, Mikel King and his wife Natalie; daughter, Angela Bennett; sister-in-law, Elizabeth "Punky" Pierce; and his beloved grandchildren and great-grandchild.
