Ramon Warda Georges

Ramon Warda Georges, 73, passed away April 16, 2018 in Phoenix, AZ. He was born April 6, 1945 in Provo, UT the son of Dr. Samuel W. and Anna Elizabeth Georges and younger brother to Sherine and Valene. He spent his growing up years in Provo before serving in the Army during the Viet Nam Conflict. After his discharge he returned to Provo where he met and married Christine Belnap. They lived in Salt Lake City and Provo and had their first child, Ramon Jr. before moving to Mesa, AZ where their daughter Sarah was born. Ramon had the desire to pursue a career in funeral service necessitating a move to the Los Angeles area where he entered the Mortuary Science program at Cypress College. After completing the program he accepted a position with a funeral home in the Los Angeles area and the family stayed there for the next 12 years adding TJ to the family before moving back to Phoenix in 1986. He was a well-respected funeral director for many years before an early retirement due to health issues. Ramon is survived by his wife Christine Belnap Georges; his children Ramon Jr. (Jennifer Jones), Sarah M. Larson, TJ Georges (Jennifer Scott) and Angela McEwen Peterson; his grandchildren Caleb, Taylin, Alisa Emma, Alisa Rae, Delaney, Avery, Hudson, Eizley, Bobbie, Chris, Forest, Mitchell and Alex; his sister Valene Goldenberg (Tomas) and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sister Sherine Stephens (Ralph). A memorial service was held Thursday April 19, 2018. His family would like to express thanks to the many family members, church family and friends for their prayers and support, the doctors, healthcare workers, and staff of Arbor Rose Day Club and Hospice of the Valley Ryan House staff who have played a part in keeping Ramon as healthy and comfortable as possible these past several years. And finally, thanks to the staff of Neptune Society, Melcher’s Mission Chapel, Personal Care Center and Crematory for their kindness and caring after his passing. We know we have been blessed!
