Wayne Cupp

Wayne Cupp age 62 of New Tazewell, TN was born August 4, 1955 and passed away June 1, 2018 at his home peacefully with his family and friends by his side. Wayne was saved in 1989 at Highland Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. Wayne was president of the Claiborne Bass Club. He was an avid fisherman and often referred to as the “Legend”. He past his love of fishing on to his grandsons, but most of all he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Verlin Cupp and Hazel West Cupp Logan; sister, Brenda Faye Reed and niece, Katherine Reed.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years: Sue Cupp,

Children: Melissa Painter and Kristie Cupp,

Grandchildren: Cody Painter and Ethan Henry Seabolt,

Brother: Verlin Cupp, Jr.,

Special Friend: Gary Brooks,

Several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 P.M. Sunday June 3, 2018 at Coffey Funeral Home with funeral service at 11:00 A.M. Monday June 4, 2018 in the Coffey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial in the Fairview Cemetery.
