Roger D Buchanan

Roger Dale Buchanan, age 68, of Tazewell, was born May 7, 1948 and passed away on June 23, 2016 at, his home surrounded by his family. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Roger was a member of Grace Missionary Baptist Church where he attended while he was able. He drove an ambulance, worked for the Claiborne County Highway Department. Was a jailer, he also worked for the town of Tazewell. He loved to trade on anything, he loved spending time with his family, but most of all he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to all.

Roger was preceded in death by his father and mother; Robert W. and Ethel Jane Bullen Buchanan. Brothers; Bobby Buchanan, Jack Buchanan, Robert W. Jr. Buchanan, and Charles Tip Buchanan.

Roger is survived by wife: Judy of 27 years.

Son: Robbie Buchanan and Holly Collins.

Grandsons: Noah Surber and Robbie Dale Buchanan.

Brother: Jim and Barbara Buchanan.

Sisters: Stachie and Dave Tolliver, Sharon and Ottis Edds, and Jean and Stanley Baker.

Special Nephew: Jeff Buchanan.

The family will receive friends Saturday June 25, 2016 from 5 until 8 P.M. at Coffey Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be Sunday June 26, 2016 in the Coffey Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Buchanan Family Cemetery.
