Maybelline Kattner of Thrall, Texas passed away on Jan 10, 2024 peacefully surrounded by 2 sons (Ronnie and David) and 2 granddaughters (Deidra and Danielle). Maybelline was born in Georgetown, Texas on September 29, 1931, one of 17 siblings from the Neitsch family. She married Arthur Kattner on November 30, 1951 in Georgetown, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband and youngest son, Michael and 2 great granddaughters. Maybelline is survived by her 2 sons (David and Ronnie), 2 loving granddaughters (Deidra and Danielle) and 4 precious great grandsons (Braylon, Rowan, Layton and Asher).
Maybelline was a very faithful person living out the principles of her Christian faith. She was a lifelong member at St. John’s Lutheran Church. She worked as a chief switchboard operator for 25 years at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in Taylor, Texas. After retirement she continued working with her husband and family at Kattner’s Conoco for an amazing 52 years. Maybelline was a very kind, caring, hardworking, and giving person who always put the needs of her family and friends before her own. She was a strong woman who faced every challenge in her life with courage and dignity. She was a woman of strong will and she always instilled in us the importance of family, hard work and always doing what is right and expected. She was always there, whether we needed a helping hand, a shoulder to cry on or a nice home cooked hot meal. Maybelline lived a well lived life of 92 years and will be dearly missed by all.
Pallbearers will be Preston Jones, Dan Stinnett, Bruce Neitsch, Albert Barber, Eddie Wallace, Brad Kirschner, Clay LaRochelle, and Lonnie Jones.
There will be an open visitation on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at Condra Funeral Home. Services will be held on Friday, January 19, 2024 at 2pm at St. John Lutheran Church in Thrall, Texas with burial following at Taylor City Cemetery
