Lillian Jane Zycha Crisp, 81, of Taylor, TX passed away on October 2nd 2013 in Georgetown TX. Lilly was born on May 18th 1932 to Mildred and Joe Zycha in Byersville, TX. Lilly married Melvin Dean Crisp in Taylor, TX on June 3rd 1961.
Family was the most important factor in Lillian’s life. Lilly felt blessed to have so many special ‘sons’ and ‘daughters’ come into her life. Lilly loved Elvis Presley and his music. The Polka Hour was a daily part of her routine. Lilly passed along her love of cooking and also taught her grandchildren some Czech. But, most important – Lilly taught us the importance of praying and having faith in God and the Church.
Preceding Lilly in death are her parents, Joe & Mildred Zycha; brother, Leo Zycha; and her husband Melvin Crisp (all of Taylor).
Surviving Lillian are her sons, Tim Crisp (of Taylor), Randy Eschberger (of Burnet, TX) and David Eschberger (of Taylor); her sisters, Irene Bucanek (of Taylor) and Darlene Pyle (of Taylor); her brother James Zycha (of Taylor); grandchildren Clinton Eschberger (of Round Rock, TX), Janet Bosewell (of Taylor), Lance Eschberger (of Austin), Kristina Weise (of Taylor), Krieg Penny (of Taylor), and Kasey Penny (of Brighton, CO); six great grandchildren; and a great number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Brett Bachmeyer, Adolph Grieger, Mike Vanek, George Price, John Pyle Jr, Krieg Penny, Sid Bucanek, Charles Bucanek.
Special thanks go to the Nurses and Aides at Georgetown Nursing and Rehab; Debra of Harbor Hospice, to her special ‘angel’ – Laura Crisp-Cleverley; and to Judy Saegert who will be reciting the rosary.
Visitation will be held at Condra Funeral Home from 6-8pm on Saturday October 5th 2013, with a rosary service at 7pm.
Funeral Mass will be held at 2pm on Sunday October 6th at St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Taylor, TX.
Burial to follow in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
