Irene Rosenkranz, age 90, passed away Monday July 17, 2017 in Taylor, TX. Irene was a kind and loving person. She was a devout Christian and a longtime member of the First Baptist Church. Irene was very involved in the community. She was always ready and willing to volunteer her time, and she never tired from her work. In 2007 the Chamber of Commerce recognized her efforts with the Taylor Women of the Year Award, a honor Irene took with humble grace.
Irene was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Rosenkranz, and her brother, Allan Lefler.
She is survived by her children, Paulette Lanieri and Helmut Rosenkranz both of California and their spouses; 3 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; her sister, Rosalee Mikulencak of Taylor and her spouse; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services were held on Saturday July 22, 2017 at the First Baptist Church in Taylor. Burial followed at Taylor City Cemetery.
