Lazelle passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at the age of 95. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday November 21, 2023 at 10 am at Condra Funeral Home in Taylor. Burial will follow at the Taylor City Cemetery.
Lazelle was born in EI Dorado, Arkansas on August 28, 1928 to Reed and Ethel Westmoreland. The family moved to Taylor in 1945. She was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. She graduated from Thrall High School in 1946. Lazelle worked for HEB grocery store for 28 years and at the Taylor Locker Plant for 4 years. In January 1949, she married her first husband, Gerhardt Wuthrich. They had two sons, Michael (Mike) and Mark Wuthrich. Gerhardt passed away in 1983.
In October 2000, Lazelle married Otto Leon Brogger, Sr. of Rockdale. Otto passed away in 2013. Lazelle is survived by her sons: Mike (friend Marilyn Machu) Wuthrich of Taylor and Mark (Linda) Wuthrich, of Austin. Two grandsons: Bryan (Sherri) Wuthrich of San Angelo, Justin Wuthrich (Gaby) of Austin. Great-granddaughter Allison Wuthrich and great-great-grandson Jaxson Wuthrich of San Angelo. She is also survived by her step children: Otto "Buddy" Brogger, Jr of Rockdale, Scott (Jenny) Brogger of Freeport,
Patricia "Trish" Haining of Brenham, Rola (David) Doelitsch of Brenham, Mary (Patrick) Janca of La Grange.
Lazelle is preceded in death by her parents, both of her husbands, Gerhardt Wuthrich and Otto L. Brogger, Sr. sisters Billie Faye Kovar, Patricia Hays, Carol Cooley, brother J.R. Westmoreland, grandson Seth Ryan Wuthrich, daughter-in-law Gloria Wuthrich, brothers-in-law Billy R. Kovar and Tom Hays.
Lazell was loving and caring. She always greeted everyone with a warm hug and a sweet kiss. She lived a simple life. Her happiest moments were spending time with her family. In her pass time, she enjoyed cooking and baking for family and friends. During her younger years, she enjoyed polka and country dancing. Lazelle treated everyone fairly and made everyone feel special. Her warm hugs and sweet kisses will be missed.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in her name to the Alzheimer's Association
